Mikawa-Anjo Design Competition | Urban Design | 2nd Prize
Mikawa-Anjo, Aichi prefecture, Japan
For the Urban Design section of this competition, the concept was set to "create places for living, agriculture and industry with mobility as the connection point, and add a new way of using 10 minutes to daily life", based on the issues facing Mikawa-Anjo area and the local characteristics of the area.

Based on the above concept, specific Programmes of work has been set up. The entire Mikawa-Anjo area will be connected by a network of bicycle paths. The target area is positioned as the hub of the network, and bases are developed on the theme of agriculture, industry and commerce in vacant lots, parks and parking lots. Bicycle parking spaces are provided at the junctions between the hubs and the bicycle paths to create small public spaces.
